What price loyalty or lunch time economics

A quick disgorgement of punch cards and gift cards during a conversation about valuations and trading systems. How much is a loyalty card with all but one punch worth if you're 50 miles from the restaurant? How much value is stored up in these alternate (sometimes local) currencies?

I go to lunch with people who don’t like pizza hut. That said, all you can eat buffets are probably not a dietary necessity for me.

My position on loyalty programs is that I don’t like to shop some place where I know I’m being charged more than the loyal customers.
